The AquaRIO NEO GUARD reduces phosphate (PO4) levels in the aquarium to maintain a healthy balance. This helps prevent excessive algae growth and complicating health problems in fish.

NEO Guard from AquaRIO is a product that reduces the levels of phosphate present in aquarium water.
Some of the most harmful and complicated algae such as beard or paintbrush tend to grow due to excess phosphate, so keeping this nutrient at bay will help keep the aquarium free of algae.
Some algae such as Brush or Beard are more likely to appear when high or unbalanced phosphate (PO4) values occur in the aquarium water.
Therefore, to maintain a healthy, clean and algae-free aquarium, it is important to control that PO4 is present in the right amount that our plants demand, since an excess of it can be harmful.
This product can be used at any time in the life of an aquarium in which the value of this nutrient needs to be reduced. That is, it is valid both during startup and at any other time.
DOSAGE:
- For routine use in a mature aquarium, it is recommended to add it the day before the water change at a rate of 5mL of NEO Guard per 60L of aquarium.
- For use in setting up a new aquarium, it is recommended that in the first 10 days a dose of 10mL of product be used per 60L of aquarium and from day 11 onwards it can be reduced to 5mL per 60L.
NOTE: The cap of the 300mL bottle has a capacity of 5mL and the cap of the 1000mL bottle has a capacity of 10mL.
- Example of routine use in a new aquarium where it can be seen that as time progresses the dosages can be spaced out more until finally adding it only the day before the weekly water change:
NOTE: The recommendation to add japonica shrimp or algae-eating fish from day 10 is only possible as long as we carry out the assembly with a PREVIOUSLY CYCLED filter, otherwise fish or shrimp should not be added until the filter is mature.
WARNINGS:
- Make sure not to exceed the recommended doses as a higher dosage could be harmful.
- This product is effective in preventing the appearance of algae caused by excess phosphates. If your aquarium is already infected with algae, its effectiveness will be reduced.
- Using this product in quantities greater than recommended may cause turbidity in the water.
- This product helps prevent the appearance of algae caused by excess phosphates but it does not work miracles. It is important that adequate filtration is available in the aquarium, that water change routines are respected and that the light and fertilizer in the aquarium are in line with the demands of the stock.
- It is recommended to shake before use.
