AquaRIO Neo Soil Shrimp

AquaRio Neo Soil shrimp is a nutritious substrate for shrimp or for planted aquariums with medium or low requirements.

Available in two sizes of 8L and 3L – with standard granulometry (3mm)

AquaRIO NEO Soil Shrimp is a substrate specially designed for shrimp made with nutrients that allow them to generate and strengthen their shells. It also maintains parameters that make the aquarium an ideal habitat for breeding.

On the other hand, it comes lightly loaded with nutrients so it favors the growth of plants.

The substrate incorporates humic acid as well as other micronutrients that provide high quality water to adult shrimp and facilitate the growth of the offspring and the shedding of their shells.

It also contains powdered bacteria and food for them. These bacteria will eliminate waste from the bottom since they are activated when they come into contact with water and will remain stable thanks to the powdered food for them that the substrate incorporates.

In addition, these bacteria will help prevent the spread of pathogenic germs in the water.

Another advantage is that the NEO Soil Shrimp contains a large number of pores inside which can serve to house bacteria inside, helping them to decompose the contaminants in the aquarium and generating additional filtration capacity to that of the filter.

How do we use it?

1) Spread the substrate over the aquarium in a thin layer. You should not wash the substrate beforehand.
2) In order to improve the perspective and aesthetics of the aquarium, it is recommended to place less thickness of substrate in the front part and more in the rear part.
3) Fill the aquarium slowly and prevent the water jet from hitting the substrate directly.

To consider:

1) This product contains bacteria so you may occasionally find some white substance on the package. It is completely normal and harmless.
2) This product by itself does not guarantee the success of a plantation. It is necessary that the rest of the elements (CO2, Lighting, Fertilizer, Water change routine, filtration...) are in line with the type of plants you want to maintain.
3) For initial nutrient control, a 30% water change every 3 days after assembly is recommended. With the stable aquarium, water changes can be reduced to a weekly change.
4) It is not recommended to add NeoSoil in thicknesses greater than 8-10 cm in the case of standard granulometry or 2-3cm in the case of Powder. If you want to raise certain areas of the aquarium more, it is advisable to do so with volcanic gravel or similar, leaving the substrate for the final 6-8cm.
