BALANCE™ by Aquavitro® is a hydroxide compound that balances the natural proportion of carbonates.
It also increases the pH without affecting Calcium or the alkaline reserve.
Because it's different?
Balance™ restores this ratio by converting bicarbonate to carbonate for a higher pH without affecting Calcium level.
A common situation in reef systems is a low pH, while calcium and alkalinity are at optimal levels. One of the main reasons for this is an improper ratio between carbonates and bicarbonates.
This proportion of the buffer changes as a consequence of its natural ability to counteract acidifying sources, such as organic acids (produced naturally from waste), or introduced through the addition of additives without pH control.
BALANCE™ by Aquavitro® is an optimized mixture of Sodium and Potassium hydroxides with a proportion equal to natural sea water (NSW 27:1) of Sodium with respect to Potassium, avoiding a long-term ionic imbalance.
Aquavitro™ offers other solutions designed to solve the unique challenge of increasing pH in a reef environment. Ions™ solves the problem of low Magnesium rate, which is the cause of low pK and pH buffer.
