Additionally, Regal-S is operated by its own controllable skimmer pump: the VarioS. This pump features a pin rotor, a detachable controller, a high-quality ceramic shaft and a bearing that reduces wear. Additionally, the VarioS includes the latest technology in variable speed flows for refined control , better performance, greater energy efficiency and safer operations.
Unlike the vast majority of circulation pumps that use alternating current (AC), the VarioS pump has several key advantages over traditional AC pumps. Among them, greater energy efficiency , safer operation with a working voltage of 24 V and, most importantly, variable speed control to adjust the ideal mixture of air and water flow in the skimmer .
With the VarioS controller, users can control flow rates by selecting from five preset speed settings indicated by five illuminated LEDs. A 15 or 60 minute feeding mode can also be activated or deactivated (with the push of a button).
In addition, its spiral rotating diffuser allows users to adjust the orientation of the outlet horizontally or vertically (up or down), depending on their needs.
