It is not amine based and will not interfere with the regeneration of Purigen™ or HyperSorb™ .

Why is Seachem's STRESSGUARD™ different?

What makes StressGuard™ successful in curing fish is thanks to the fact that it contains active protein colloids. This protein-active colloid agent seeks out any wounds, scrapes or places where proteins have been exposed and adds to this area to directly assist as a disinfectant and initiates the healing process. This active colloid protein, because it binds exposed proteins, also acts as a liquid wound dressing.

Some of the products marketed to be injected into the transport bag when acquiring a fish are generally acidic, this being a very strong acid in the case of some commercial brands. Placing such a product in a small, closed fish transport container often does more harm than the intended benefit.

It has a pH of 7.0. It does not affect the pH of the aquarium, even in large doses. There are no other products on the market that can compare to the effectiveness of StressGuard™.
