Characteristics of HY Series Pumps
HY pumps, although specially designed for Octo skimmers , will optimize and increase the efficiency and performance of any skimmer. They also include a transparent volute that creates an intense amount of bubbles, much more than a conventional pump.
While most other skimmer pumps on the market are water pumps equipped with a modified needle rotor, the HY pumps were the first pumps specifically intended to improve and increase the efficiency of skimmers .
The built-in electronic control system ensures that a constant flow rate is maintained and prevents pump damage by controlling directional start and rotation speed. During pump operation, if a problem is detected, the pump will shut itself off to prevent damage.
The HY works quietly and efficiently, as well as at low temperatures .
They use the Silicon Nitride rotor , which is much more resistant to wear compared to ceramics (commonly used in other pumps).
They can work both dry and submerged .
