The EC controller MC311 is a continuous EC (Electro Conductivity) controller meter in mS (millisiemens) with visual alarm and 220V coupling plug for external electrical equipment: a dosing pump for example.
This external equipment will be activated when the controlling meter has passed the set point (set with the graduated wheel) and will inject solution (e.g. nutrients) into the tank.
MC311 EC controller is ideal for agriculture, hydroponics.
The MC311 EC controller has a scale of 0.0 up to 10.0 mS. It has automatic temperature compensation.
Its calibration is manual (calibration nut with screwdriver).
Its control block has a wheel to set the setpoint data with two fingers: from 0.8 to 2.8 mS.
At the same time that the outdoor equipment is activated, a visual alarm (red LED) will also be activated. Calibration of the MC311 EC controller is manual (in 1 points: use 1413uS or 5000 uS buffer).
The MC311 EC controller is supplied with its MA812/2 probe with a 2-meter cable, a 12 VDC adapter, an EC1413uS calibration envelope, and a manual in Spanish.
Installation and measurement:
Connect the 12VDC transformer to the power
Connect the coupling plug to the power supply (white and black socket)
Connect the external equipment (dosing pump) to the coupling socket (white part).
Make sure the meter was calibrated before use.
Immerse the EC electrode in the tank (let it float with the help of a wide polystyrene for example).
Or if you prefer to measure in pipe, request a threaded probe holder from your supplier.
Turn on the meter by pressing the ON/OFF button
Place the Right Button in the BELOW position to activate the pump when the EC drops below the set point.
Calibration: Immerse the electrode in a sachet of EC1413uS calibration liquid.
With the help of a screwdriver, adjust the data to 1.4 (they are the first two digits of 1413).
The meter is calibrated and ready to measure and activates the external equipment.
It is advisable to calibrate the meter at least once every two months, or after a long period of non-use.
