FLOURISH IRON™ is a highly concentrated (10,000 mg/L) ferrous iron (Fe +2) gluconate supplement.
It should be used in those cases where iron requirements exceed what can be replaced by Flourish™ (at the recommended dose) or when signs of iron deficiency appear (such as small, thin stems or yellowing between veins).
Does not contain phosphate or nitrate.

Flourish Iron™ is a highly concentrated (10,000 mg/L) ferrous iron gluconate supplement. Plants are able to much more easily derive a benefit from Flourish Iron™ because the ferrous iron gluconate is already in the ferrous form so they do not waste energy reducing it.
Despite what other manufacturers may imply, gluconate is not harmful to plants or fish. In fact, ferrous gluconate is more suitable for foliar feeding than iron-EDTA because the iron-gluconate bond is relatively weaker than the iron-EDTA bond. Additionally, ferrous gluconate has the added advantage of being a carbon source.
Plants can obtain beneficial effects much more easily from Flourish Iron™ than from EDTA-iron sources because all EDTA iron is present in the ferric state (Fe +3), where a certain amount of physical energy must be used to extract the ferric iron. of EDTA-iron and then convert it to the ferrous form.
