Hygrophila corymbosa is an undemanding starter plant that originates from Asia. In the aquarium it will spread quickly and create long, wide, bright green leaves.
It is a fast-growing plant that needs to be pruned frequently. The new shoots will extend from the stem and make the plant look bushier. Cuttings can be replanted at the bottom of the aquarium, where new roots quickly form.
A bunch of stems or young plants gathered into an anchor. Remove the anchor and divide it into separate plants. For stem plants, remove leaves from the lowest 5 cm (2“). Remove damaged leaves. Plant the individual plants some distance apart in the bottom substrate. The roots will soon develop and the plant will begin to grow.
