Powerful, low-consumption corner filters for aquariums up to 300 liters
The sera X-Edge 300, 450 and 700 are modern corner filters that, thanks to sophisticated technology, are particularly powerful and quiet. In addition, they integrate perfectly into the aquarium. Mechanical filtering is carried out using a cartridge and a filter sponge, which effectively retain dirt particles. This protects the biological filter media from contamination and increases the biological efficiency of the corner filter. The filter basket is already equipped with the high-performance sera siporax mini Professional biological filter medium, for effective biological filtering.
The water flow rate of the sera X-Edge corner filters can be continuously adjusted and the flow direction can also be adjusted using the perforated tube included in the package. Alternatively, the narrow nozzle allows a smooth flow to be generated. With this nozzle you can also increase the oxygen supply: using the Air-Set included in the package, air can be sucked in through the injector, which is then mixed with the water and transported to the aquarium.
As with all sera filters, the issue of safety has of course also been taken into account in the design of the sera X-Edge corner filters. In certain circumstances, corner filters can be dangerous for fish and shrimp. Two aspects must be taken into account: On the one hand, fish sometimes swim behind the corner filter, running the risk of getting trapped. For this reason, a “Swim-stop” has been integrated to prevent fish from swimming behind the corner filter. On the other hand, young shrimp in particular often enter the filter through the filter media, which can naturally be dangerous for the animals. To avoid this, filter media of precise dimensions have been used.
The installation of the corner filters is very easy: A bracket is glued to the glass with the help of four suction cups. The corner filter can then be clipped onto the bracket. To clean, the filter can be removed from the holder in the same way. Alternatively, it is also possible to remove the filter cartridge under water.
